Implemented policies in the Philippines during the time of the pandemic

I. Introduction

COVID-19 has been around for quite a while now and it has affected many lives. For example, instead of going to school we have to attend online classes. Online classes make it harder for students to learn lessons which is one way on how it has affected our daily lives. With COVID - 19 there also comes policies that the government issued for us to be safe. Within this blog post we would be getting the opinion of a person about policies that the government made for us to follow.

II. Common pandemic policies implemented in the Philippines

Border restrictions -

Places make border checkpoints to contain the spread of COVID-19 from higher quarantine classification areas.

Vaccination -

In some places, Vaccination is now required to enter the premises. You must present your vaccination ID at the entrance to be able to get inside a building if they require to. Getting vaccinated will help your immune system fight the virus and can increase a higher chance of survival.

Wearing Face masks -

The government requires all citizens to wear a face masks while outside. Wearing a mask prevents the spread of the virus and also prevents you from getting somebody else sick while wearing it.

III. Videos of interview about Pandemic Policies in the Philippines

1. What do you think about mandatory vaccination?

"In my view, It is important. I think mandatory vaccination is needed so we can have protection against the virus and many people won't get severe symptoms from COVID - 19 so people have a high chance of surviving and self isolate instead of infecting others and paying high hospital fees" - Mother

2. What do you think about the policy requiring face shields?

"Face shields are good as it provide an extra layer of protection against the virus. It is okay to require face shields as to not accidentally infect others or get infected yourself by not just COVID - 19 but other illnesses" - Mother

3. What do you think about quarantine classifications in different provinces?

"I think it's ok to have quarantine classifications to stop the spread of the virus. Especially here in highly populated areas. We need quarantine classifications in order to slow down the spread of the virus and prevent areas with only a little cases of the virus from getting more from outsiders" - Mother

IV. Conclusion

In my opinion, All Pandemic Policies here in the Philippines are needed in one way. Just like face masks, That are useful for protection against the virus, Or border checkpoints that are used to limit travel. Maybe some aren't as necessary as others but each pandemic policy is useful in one way or another.
